TestPassword Method

Tests a password to see if it conforms with the rules established by the policy.

Syntax

public bool TestPassword( 
   User user,
   string password
)

Parameters

user: The user to set the password for.
password: The password to validate against the policy.

Return Value

True if the password meets the policy requirements for the user.

Requirements

Target Platforms: Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
