CanDeleteFile Method

Tests for the ability to delete the specified file. Warning: If this method succeeds the specified file is DELETED.

Syntax

public static Exception CanDeleteFile( 
   string fileName
)

Parameters

fileName: Full physical path of the file to attempt to delete

Return Value

Exception that occurred during the test, or null if the test succeeded.

Requirements

Target Platforms: Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
